Bio:

The man that would later call himself Garreth Black-Blade began his life as the result of his elven mothers brutal rape by a human reaver. He never knew warmth as a child due to the fact that he served as a constant reminder to his mother of what had happened to her. She was distant at best and bordering on cruelty at her worst. Her tribe was no better. They saw Garreth as a pox, inflicted upon them by humanity. At the age of 12, consumed by hatred and loathing, Garreth ran away to a human city to find a better life.
What Garreth found instead was a dangerously brutal life on the streets. He had to fight just to get enough food to keep himself alive and was at odds with many of the street children that inhabited the city. Eventually he joined a gang. They were happy to have him because his relentless tenacity almost always won out in the end in any conflict against other gangs in the city.
This all changed when his gang attempted to rob a mercenary company known as the First Spear. During the job Garreth was caught and his allies abandoned him. The captain demanded to know where the other boys were so he could reclaim what was rightfully his. Garreth refused to sell out the other members of the gang, even though they had left him behind. For two days straight Garreth was beaten by soldiers in an attempt to make him speak. Not once did Garreth break or bow. After every thrashing he would stand up again and turn his hateful gaze on his captures. At the end of the second day, the company chaplain, a man name Greygor, saw the way Garreth refused to yield and told the other soldiers to stop. He saw the look in Garreth’s eyes and knew it at once: Pure hatred. Greygor knew he could shape that anger and tenacity into a weapon, fore Greygor was a priest of Bane, god of war and conquest. He taught Garreth how to tempter his rage and hatred into something useful. He trained with the other soldiers and prayed with Greygor and in doing so learn to find peace in the midst of conflict. Every victory was proof that he was worth something and ever dead body at his feet a proxy for those that had wronged him is whole life. Finally Garreths life had meaning.
8 years later the captain of the First Spear died and the company broke apart. Garreth set out on his own to do the only thing he truly ever knew how to do: Make war.
